Tourist Visa Extension – 30 days

Overview

The Tourist Visa Extension allows you to extend your stay in Thailand by an additional 30 days. This is one of the simplest visa processes available and can be done at any Thai immigration office.

Requirements

• Valid passport with at least 6 months remaining
• TM.6 departure card (if applicable)
• One passport-sized photo (4x6 cm)
• Completed TM.7 application form
• 1,900 THB extension fee

Process

1. Visit your nearest immigration office before your current visa expires
2. Fill out the TM.7 form (available at the office)
3. Submit your documents and passport photo
4. Pay the 1,900 THB fee
5. Receive a new stamp in your passport extending your stay by 30 days

Important Notes

While you can extend your tourist visa more than once, immigration officers may question repeated extensions. For longer stays, consider an Education Visa or Thailand Elite Visa instead.
