Mae Hia

Mae Hia is one of Chiang Mai's most established city-edge residential areas. Retail and housing are concentrated along Canal Road and major connectors, with greener neighborhoods toward the foothills. Canal Road, Mahidol Road and the ring roads provide access to Nimman, the airport and Hang Dong. A private vehicle is usually needed, and airport-side junctions can be busy. Detached houses, villas and gated communities dominate, with selected condos near main roads. Check aircraft noise, water and drainage, school access and travel time across the airport corridor.
