The 9 Khao Tao

Pran Buri

Pran Buri is the quiet alternative to Hua Hin, stretching south along the coast toward Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. The Pak Nam Pran beach area has become a favorite of Bangkok architects and designers, who've built stylish beachfront homes and boutique resorts here. The vibe is "design-conscious beach retreat" rather than "resort town" — fewer amenities than Hua Hin, but more character and privacy. Long, uncrowded beaches with a more natural, undeveloped feel Boutique hotels and designer homes along Pak Nam Pran Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park — dramatic limestone karsts, caves, and wildlife Pineapple plantations and local fishing villages give an authentic rural character 20–30 minutes south of Hua Hin for supplies and nightlife Beachfront land: 5–15 million THB per rai. Houses: 5–20 million THB. Fewer condos available — this is mainly a house/villa market. More affordable than equivalent beachfront in Hua Hin, but with less rental demand due to fewer tourists. Best for owner-occupiers or those building custom homes.
